Default Just buy a 6.7 or buy hemi to do 5.9 swap?

First post here to determine the logistics of this idea. So what Im thinking of doing is buying a new body style Ram with a hemi to do a 5.9 swap. Alternative is of course just go buy a new body style 6.7 and call it good. I really want an old fashioned diesel in a newer truck though. I can buy a used hemi for 7k less than a used 6.7 diesel, sell the hemi drivetrain and have maybe 10k or more to put into the swap and mods.

One thing with swaps is there a headache. The little things will add up quick. Ac lines, coolant lines, fuel systems, electrical. And its always a nightmare down the road. Just fmy .02

thanks. I can see burning through some cash. In fact I was leaning toward a method that my very limited mechanical knowledge suggests would be more expensive but much easier and less painless. That method would basically be using only a new ram "rolling chassis" with all 1999ish mechanicals. As opposed to trying to use much new hardware. Of course at some point in cost and difficulty it stops making sense. I guess that point is when it starts to get more costly than a new truck with deletes.
