Since nobody has really posted here yet...

With the 6.5 you won't get much smoke, and if you get a lot of smoke there is something wrong.

I would suggest getting a reflashed computer since you already have opened up the exhaust. A couple places to check are HeathDiesel, KennedyDiesel, SSDiesel... to name a few. I have a HeathDiesel GL4 and I love it!

thats basically what reflashing the ECM does. You can get your intake to breathe a little better too. No one makes anything really great for an intake but if you crawl around there are a lot of different ways people have done it on here.
Welcome to the site. I think heath has the hottest chip right now.
Oh yeah, when you get to the point on performance that you need more than ~10psi of boost, intercool it, you can put a bigger turbo on it. But for starters the reflash and intake breathing would be the first things to do. If your running that mileage on stock injectors too you definitely want to change them, they are only good for about 100k.
Oh, and get gauges before/when you reflash it. Gotta have gauges.

Default 6.5 Turbo Performance

Is anyone running an electric fan in place of the stock fan with blades? The stock blades take a lot of power to turn---wind resistence. I know racers do this to pick up a considerable amount of horsepower. Is this practical based on anyone's experience???

No gain to be had from electric fan, plus will not move the volume of air required to keep the 6.5 cool, best bet is a retuned fan clutch, plus the composite fan blade from a Dmax.

Default Is an Electric Water Pump a Good Performance Mod?

Not sure if anyone makes an electric water pump for the 6.5???? It would seem like a good mod to move more water and not make the engine have to do all the work. Do you have any experience with this mod?

The 99+ Spin on Hub Waterpump is the best waterpump.Don't know about electric.
Duramax guys use them because it's an easy fix compared to changing a waterpump on a Max..
A 6.5 is not a performance engine like a Cummins or DMax. You could spend thousands and still end up with less that 300hp.
JMHO.
A reflash and 4 inch exhaust makes 'em run pretty good though. Just watch temps.
