Default Exhaust

I'm looking into purchasing a 5" turbo back exhaust (no cat/no muffler). My question is does anyone know the difference between the MBRP 5" turbo back and the 5" turbo back Flo Pro exhaust? The Flo Pro exhaust is quite a bit cheaper and comes with a 4" down pipe. Was hoping for a few opinions. Thanks

Most of them don't have a true 4" DP. It may, but they're also a PITA to get in there with little to no gain.

MBRP has great fit, really nice clamps, etc. I have not used the flo-pro but I have heard good things.

Are both systems the same material? I know a few places used to sell 4" turbo backs for $265 and 5" turbo backs for $295... but they're of course aluminized steel.

The Flo Pro and the MBRP is 16 Gauge Aluminized Steel. Is that a bad thing? Sorry if the question sounds dumb.

If you live in any place that gets salt, it will corrode. I live in upstate NY, arguably one of the worst salt belt areas. I went with the good SS stuff. I do know some guys that use the aluminized stuff, bit it doesn't always look as nice (it's under the truck anyway) but it does the job.

I'v got the Flo-Pro and have no complaints and its been on for 4 years or so, Mdub is right the down pipe is not a true 4 inch pipe.

I am looking at a MBRP turbo back 5" exhaust. I realize that some aren't true 5" dp's. This one claims to be. My question is, will the 5" dp fit correctly? And do i have to make any mods for the 5" inlet to fit? In the pictures it shows that it has tabs that could be bent. Anyone have this exhaust?

No way, most guys have issues getting a true 4" DP in there... there simply isn't enough room for a 5" DP, and it's not needed. Almost all 4" and 5" turbo backs are still 3.5" downpipe, until it gets under the truck.

To my knowledge, MBRP doesn't even offer a 5" DP for the 6.0, they have the standard 3.5" and a true 4" DP if you order it that way, but I see no benefit to it.
