[QUOTE=Mdub707;644597] Hardest part on my original install was finding the dimmer wire so the gauges would dim with the rest of the gauges in the truck already.

MDub, do you have a write up on how you wired the gauges to your dimmer wire?

Pop the dash apart, find the wires going to the dimmer switch, get a multi-meter and probe the wires until you find 12V, then roll dimmer switch up and down and watch voltage change. If it doesn't change, it's not the right wire. I think there's only like 3 wires coming out the back, it's actually not that hard, but I avoid wiring all together. My buddy did that portion, I was under the truck drilling the manifold and such. He told me it was hard, it was not that bad. I've since done some myself and had no issues.

Depending on which gauge you have, it shouldn't be too hard. The gauge needs 12V and a ground to "light up" at night, so your 12V source, should just be tapped into that dimmer wire you find.

www.dieselmanor.com has some really good write ups on installing gauges.

Does the edge just plug in? I just bought my 05 f250 and already have a gauge for fuel pressure and exhaust temp. But want to be able to check everything. I'm new to the Diesel stuff. So any info on the gauge would help
