Default Edge Juice With Attitude for the 6.0

Does anyone use this programmer? I got mine about two weeks ago, and haven't seen any problems with it. Is it really unsafe for them? Just wondering what the best way to run them is for fuel mileage ect.. I also was wondering if anybody has it stacked with an SCT for the monitor function, and how you go about doing such a thing. Thanks guys.

Oh and BTW if anyone wants to experiment with any custom fab work, im your guy. We do a lot of cnc plasma cutting, and i've been dying to make some grilles and such, just havent had the time to tear mine apart. If you didn't notice i'm new to the diesel world, but so far i've fell in love.

stacking the two will end up getting ur truck broke. 6.0 are well known for poping head gaskets with just a little added power. your edge juice will pop it if u beat on your truck on the higher settings. hope ya have luck with it

I had the Edge system on my 04. I liked it purely for the fact that it was able to clear the codes (always had codes) I found that I got 2 mpg better when running on level 5. This seems to be a great level for everyday driving. By all means, if you are towing, do not run it on this level.

thanks guys. i guess i'll give the 5th setting a try. I know enough not to tow with the power settings. I'm pretty cautious about egts. if they get over 1000 i usually back off real quick.

We had a 6.0 truck that was a customer's truck with a juice with attitude on it.

It ran 14.20's.

Couldn't keep head gaskets in it though.

BIG ANGRY this one is for you.

So... you work a lot on fords from what i've read. Is this head gasket issue that most of the 6.0s seen a lot on the newer ones? Mine is an 06 (65k miles on it so far) i had some injector issues from the previous owner (25k) ( 8 new injectors) but that was the end of the problems. I had the death wobble untill i leveled it out and put new rancho 9000s on it, now it rides like a new cadi. so here are my questions.. 1. Do i need to worry about head studs with the way i have it set up now? 2. What are the best lubricants, oils, fluids, ect for the thing? 3. Do i need to worry about blowing the head gasket out of it with my edge set on 3 all the time? I go real easy on it, egts never get over 1100, i keep it on 3 to do away with the turbo spool time. I'm real new to the diesel world and i figured you were the guy with the answers. Thanks in advance bud!

I got an 05 6.0L I have had no issues with the heads on my truck and I have a quadzilla adrenaline on level 3all the time. You have a better chance of blowing a gasket if you still have a EGR system. and you have basically the same set up as me except my erg cooler is gone and i don't worry. hope I helped.

^^^ Wrong info about the EGR causing head gasket failures.

EVERY 6.0 has the potential for head gaskets to fail, and most of them do it without a chip FWIW.

I stud almost every truck I have apart.

Your head gaskets are living on borrowed time, sir.

HGs blow on stock trucks, so no truck is safe. Its not if but when. IMO edge gives you lots of power, but doesnt do it as safley as an sct with custom tunes, which would give you more bang for your buck.
