I dont think I'd blame that on the bullydog, even though it is hard on transmission parts. I have not seen a single 6.0 that didn't have the bellhousing drip. I'm sure there are a handful out there, but I have not personally crawled under one that wasn't wet there.

Just means my trucks still faster than his and I know that will drive him crazy.
take the SCT X-Cal and unload it from your truck, tell your friend to unload the bullydog from his, load your SCT on his truck, let him take it for a spin around the block and then when he comes back with the biggest smile you have ever seen him with hook the SCT back up and take the tune off and tell him you told him the SCT was better, then go to your truck, load the tune back on it and leave his house with the truck sideways in the road.....

but i'm an A-hole like that... your mileage may vary....

I'm pretty sure that'd lose one of his unlocks on the SCT, since they vin-lock to the truck.

This weekend i'm getting a, 05 reg cab 6.0 that already has a edge platinum edition juice on it... But from what i've heard on here it sounds like i better ditch it and get an SCT Tune.... How do i get in touch with the guy that does these?? and what are the pros and cons of it? does it come with a display setting screen like most other programmers? This is also my first diesel so i dont know much about them, will the edge be easy to uninstall and the SCT easy to install?? Whats the cost of the SCT tune?

Thanks for all your help and advice!!!

Custom tuned SCT Files are built for a certain truck. Each truck has a different "Strategy". Once you set your truck back to stock you can load it to another truck but it still wont run correctly due to the strategy.

This has been a topic of debate for a while and I believe the consensus on the other forums was you can run it. Obviously having a tune made for your strategy is better, but some of the tuners even said it was OK to run the ones you had for the time being (if you had just gotten a reflash from the dealer or something).

Also loading to another truck will lose an unlock... The programmer itself vin-locks to that specific truck.

It will be OK yes, but you will probably have an EGR code thrown. Some do, some dont, no rhyme or reason. I'd lose the K&N intake, and I'd get the SCT from Eric @ Innovative.

He decided against the bullydog after having it on a few days. Was having trouble with the truck shifting out of third under heavy throttle. Sometimes it would shift if you let off a little, other times you had to fully let off and it would shift. Done the same thing on another friends father's 05 6.0. I know I have the one talked into sct.
