someone over at compd told me that there is someone on here that has a ksb spacer that gets like 10 more degrees of timin out of the ve pump. anybody know what im talkin bout? thanks nick... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

yea i think it is alwaysworking at M&H ink.

you actually want to remove some shime to advance timing quiker or go to a lighter spring

M&H ink what is that? also i see you have the 3 in. cooler tubz in your signature how much did they affect your performance and are you running the stock intercooler with them?

looking inside the pump a guy could probabbly take the spring clear out that would rotate the cam plate to full advance witch is ??? Depends on pump timing for total advance. i was thinking the internal advance was only 4-6° ? not sure will have to do some digging.. On a note thou removing the spring may cause harder starting and white smoke as you will disable the variable pump timing altogether.

i'd just get the spacer, and use the shim provided... it works just fine the way M&H designed it i spent 230 bucks with M&H and its been the best investment in my pump so far.

tower_ofpower's Sig:One thing i learned in college: DON'T!!! stick your fingers where you wouldn't stick Mr. Happy 89' W250, full fuel 1 1/2 turns, smoke screw needs adjustment, M&H M3 fuel pin and timing spacer, 366 spring, air dog 150,3" DP to 4" DP back bully dog exhaust with the front baffle cut out. Soon to be:transmission upgade, turbo and manifold swap, and injectors.

maybe try some thinner shims first.theres aload of them in Volkswagen VE's.theyre all real thin too.essential this is all the spacer is doing.Swapping shims is quik N easy on the front side.Be carefull of the ksb.
