is it reasonably possible to make 800 horse power with a ve? im guessing not but need some input. would it be more cost effective to use 1 or 2 turbos to get there? i think 80-90 psi is the pressure needed but i could ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

the VE physically cannot pump enough fuel for much over 500 hp...at that you're really pushing it. If you want 800 hp, swap on a shop built and flowed p-pump

80-90 psi would be hard to achieve if you cant make the fuel needed to make that kind of drive, you can juice it.

what have you done to your pump so far

actually the truck dont even have a pump on it right now cause i had to borrow it to replace the ailing one one my other truck... but its supposed to have a ve. fuel screw turned to runaway and backed up slightly, aneroid pin ground, clocked, and installed with no plastic spacer at the top, star wheel turned the whole way down, top removed and aneroid arm ground about a 16th". the timing is still set stock cause i dont know how far to change it... on this truck with stock injectors and hx40 i get 35-38 psi. is the head and pistons the same for a first and second gen? how bout the cam? i like first gens and theyre cheap thats y im startin with one.

yea, there's a guy on here I believe goes by the title KTACUMMINS that has gone I think a little over five maybe into the sixes. But I'm telling ya, it can't do it. Nitrous is no good if you're already burning all the fuel you have.

KTA has teh current fuel only record from a VE (with a special built 14mm head) Here is his Info

KTA 627rwhp 1300tq b-1/hx-60 twins, KTA 14mm custom pump with aeromotive a-1000 fuel system and 1/2 lines and in tank pickup, buddha power EDM injectors, ATS exhaust manifold, 5" muffled exhaust, fleetguard paper air filter, custom cylinder head work
KTA 486rwhp 1200 torque same as above less custom 14mm pump
KTA 481rwhp 1081 torque same as above except B-1 only no twins

Everyone is saying that if he would spray it he could get close to 1000hp... I dunno. He has ALOT of time and $$$ in that truck. There is also alot done to it that he wont say.

It can and will be done... Will you be the 1st?

Someone find KTA's dyno video. It's on youtube somewhere but my wirless is so slow I can't find it. He has enough fuel to make easilly 750 on juice and W/M. Heck, he said at 4200RPM he was still making over 400HP. But for overall reliability at 800HP I would run a Good Flowed P-Pump. Just my opinion.

You could always drop the compression to 9-1 and run alcohol... Just keep the VE pump there as an ignition source...
