After the trip to TS hauling TJ's truck I could really notice some severe axle wrap. I have read a ton of threads about them and was looking for some advice from the experienced people on DB. I know that whatever I get I still need to be able to put my truck on a lift with the step bars installed. I like the look of ladders better than the single bar, but what would work better in my situation. I will not sled pull with this truck, probibally never make a pass down the track, but do tow heavy on ocasion. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks Travis |

I say go with a duel set up. You can make them yourself with some shop room and a welder. Im gonnaa make some this summer with some think wall DOM tubing and heim joints. Just fab up some brackets to the axel and fram and POOF, there ya go!

I been ponderin this project to after I get everything else done. I was lookin at attaching them to the U-Bolts with a second nut and then a Heim joint to a bracket attached to the frame, just to make things simple.

ok guys here it goes...
i just got done dropping off my trailer and i was coming back through cleburne on my way to weatherford. im rolling up to a stop light and the light turns green. I get into it pretty hard and as soon as it hit second gear BAM!! The tranny shifted pretty hard and the axle wrapped so much when it hit second that it broke the lift blocks (which were aluminum((bad idea)). it broke my drive shaft, e-brake cable, u-joints, twecked my leaf springs, mess up my exhaust, TKO'd my bed. damge was right at $5,000 i was out of a truck for 6mnths. here is a couple more pics... ![]()
