It may have severed enough wires to where it's causing enough of a voltage drop, setting a code.

I hate wire taps for this reason. I'm not sure it's your problem but it's a good place to start. There have been a couple of guys that have had to replace their rail sensors so it isn't uncommon for that either. Sounds like a coincidence though that the rail sensor and the boost code show up with the new tune but Bob and Marco know better than me.

Ok so the wire is frayed but not split or broken... I can see bare wire but that is it so I am thinking it's the rail sensor.... Anyone have a part number??? I am goona get one and see what that does....

The part number I believe is 3974092 for the rail pressure sensor. You may want to try Cummins instead of the dealer. I heard there was a huge price difference between the two. Also, Quad has a new harness available so you don't have to wire tap.

I called the dealer today and they said $700 But I have talked to a couple of members and we're thinking it could be the stock fuel system not being able to keep up with the Stage II cp3??? Maybe a possibility... I will try cummins and the dealer's number wasn't that same number so I will call and ask...

Thanks man!!!

Yeah, try Cummins as I think they were around $180. I didn't realize you didn't have a Walbro or the like. Sounds like more money to spend. On second thought, I suppose that if you were constantly draining the rail it could be causing your problems. Basically the ECM tells the FCA what kind of demand pressure it needs then it checks the pressure delta between that and the rail sensor for actual pressure and if the two aren't within whatever spec they determine in the firmware then the check engine light is thrown and it will set a code. This may or may not be the case with your truck. Either way you definately need a new supply side pump with at least 30 PSI available to that modded CP3 I would think.
