A good VP is cheaper and easier then everything you need for the swap.

Front engine cover, gears, pump, lines, injectors, and so on...

Just get a decent VP and feed her LOTS of fuel with an AirDog. Use some additive because ULSD is the Anti-Christ! I use 2 stroke oil (TcW3)

There was a guy on here with a +100 pump on here that i bought my ATS manifold off of! He wanted 800$ for it... Its a BD Diesel Pump.... https://www.dieselbombers.com/sale/6...-ect-sale.html

Not sure if he still has it but its worth a look!

Ive heard you can get 600hp off a SO pump... Thats my goal! LoL!

As for the pump... If its anything like my AirDog pump, the instructions say it must have a siphon feed to start and that it cant draw fuel through it. Thats why its suggested for below tank mounting. Not sure if FASS is the same though.

P pump conversion is easy if u got the time and cash for it. My conversion took about 4 days and roughly $2000. You need a 12v: front cover, timing cover, p7100, cam gear. You can reuse yours stock cam just press off the gear and weld on the 12v cam to keep the gear from walking off the cam. Now the expensive part is the damn lines, you need a p7100 to 24v lines that runn about $500. plus youll need a intake horn spacer if your running a stock intake horn, if you run a pusher intake you wont need it cause it clears the lines already. also needed is a cam sensor plate that requires grinding in the timing cover. Plus whatever you want to do to the pump i.e dv's gsk afc tuning etc. Also seals like timing seal, front cover seal, and crank seal. Mis. lines like fuel from the t return plus the oil line. If you got an auto tranny, i would use the stock throttle bracket and just cut it to fit, i did that and my tranny line was still used and worked perfect (rather than using a 12v throttle and running into shifting problems) I though it was a pretty easy swap with moderate knowledge on the swap, only thing i didnt know was timing which i learned . I love my pump, more fuel than ill ever need..... maybe if u got any q's shoot me a pm, ive done a few of these swaps now and got it pretty down pat

the so pump is the way to go a hot rod pump doesn't add any power over what a quad or edge will add. If you keep that vp supplied with proper amount a fuel it will live a good life. A so pump is good for over 600hp I did 683 out of mine.

i definately trust mechanical power over electrical anyday. only thing nice about electronic power is you can turn it up and down when you want. i'd love to p pump it someday though i've seen a few here and they are sweet!
