Which AFE?? They have at least 3 different filters - regular, Proguard 7, and Pro Dry S

As well, they have Stage 1 and Stage 2

I have the S&B and I like the setup. I never tried the AFE.

We like the AFE Pro Dry if your looking for an Open Element Kit. If your looking for a Sealed Kit we prefer the S&B.

for me, when i get my new kit, its gonna be the pro dry from AFE. Im sick of running oiled filters, had some issues with them, not ever ran S&B so i cant say there, but dont run K&N for sure

I've got the AFE stage 2 with the regular filter and a prefilter sock on it. Never use the regular filter anywhere it is dusty. It just goes right in the motor. (IE it sucks).

If I need another filter it will be the Pro Dry S.

You can get the S&B in a Dry or Oiled Filter

IMO S&B is about the best intake on the market for these trucks, As far as the oiled filter goes, Theres does filter very well its an 8 layer filter But if you want a dry filter they do have that also. & there prices are prety good also compaired to many of the other intakes out there.
