is the afe torque tube really worth $100.00, what exactly does it do other then allow air to move easier without the ribs like the factory tube, any sound difference?

 

I have one on my 98 12V - got it with the whole intake. It looks cool...but its a bit of a PITA when changing oil (u have to remove the tube out to get to the oil filter).

It looks cool and I imagine the airflow is likely better since its larger and its smooth on the inside but I really cant see any difference between it and the stock ribbed air tube. JMO FWIW.

 

I was wondering the same thing. I build my air box and used an AFE filter from a common rail cold air kit, but I'm using the stock tube.

 

yeah i have a bhaf and i have the stock air tube and i was wondering if a torque tube would help at all and what it does....in the catalog it says it gives it a big rig sound im not sure what they mean by that.....
