Default edge jammer nozzles

has anyone had experience with these are they worth the buck and are they streetable i wanna make 550HP with my truck and just was wondering about these?

There are varying qualities out there. They are made by a variety of manufacturers and some say they have Jammers when they in fact are not. We have been approached by many different companies claiming to be an authorized source.

The Jammer nozzle is considered to be a middle of the road quality product. Most report advertised power with more smoke and heat compared to other more expensive options.

whats the best nozzle out there?? Im gonna be looking into these here shortly and want to know also what would be a good choice from Top of the line to the ones i want to stay away from

I agree with this. My edge nozzles are dirty and warm I am going with ddp 110's as they are an awesome injector. I would go whole injector vs the nozzle it's one complete package.

There are fans of what is considered "best". Honestly, it's up to you to decide. If you only follow what advertising and rhetoric you see on the boards, you will come up with a few names.

F1 has long been considered the gold standard of injectors. These are fully custom EDMd and all the parameters of the spray pattern, sizing hole to holes, number and shape of holes are all determined by a specialized EDMimg process. These are typically full injectors or assembled complete units.

The other really big name is DDP. They primarily hone their nozzles from base EDM tips. Basically, enlarging the holes as the slurry goes through. These are typically tips people refer to.

The Jammer nozzles are another type of EDM nozzle. However, these are usually done on old medical grade equipment and are not as precise as the F1 stuff.

Don't forget you have a slew of other companies making injectors. And we carry a proprietary line as well. Of course we feel our line of injectors is the best out there.

I have run everything from the old DD honed tips to the newest, latest and greatest out there. Most recently before taking on my new job I ran F1 stuff and was very happy with it. The deal is this. The honed tips I would see more smoke and heat than the EDM tips. Also, the tips that were finished honed after EDM were the best of all of 'em. Many manufactures claim to only finish honed their injectors, but many start out with an RV275 and hone the crap out of them. This is no way a "finish" hone. But an enlarging. A finishing hone would only remove small imperfections that were left by the EDM process. So flow rates would only increase a minimal amount. Large increases in honing alone result in different flow rates across the holes in an injector. While the injector may flow the same from one tot he next, the holes within a single stick do not.

At the end of the day, you have to try to sort through what ever flags are being flown and get to the nitty gritty. It's a tough thing to do as there is a lack of accurate info and those in the know don't want to share the technical aspects of the process. If they did, you would start to connect the dots.

And of course customer expectations vary and there are differences in trucks. But I am still getting over 23MPG hiway and it'll increase to 24+ with summer fuel. That's about the same numbers I had with the F1 stuff.

BTW, I don't sell F1 injectors. Not because we don't want to mind you. Just the way this business works.

skip the tips...by the time you buy them and have 'em pop tested, you're gonna be running almost as much as you would for say a budget set of injectors...on top of that, they are smokey (which could be argueed as a good thing) but more importantly, really hot...150's will get you to the 500 mark but not without a chrager...call up gus at fbd and get some of his injectors...i couldnt be happier with mine and you'll be suprised at how cheap they actually are....great power, controllable smoke, and good egts...

i run 150's in my cummins and they dont run that much hotter. granted i have a bigger turbo (compared to my hy35!) so they highest my egts have ever been were at dyno around 1250. in hot level
