I've heard the AFE intakes are pretty good too, just beware of the K&N stuff

If you are looking for an inexpensive intake, look at S&B filters. They make great intake systems that not only look good, but also flow 40+% more than factory. 94-02 Dodge 5.9L Cummins S&B Performance Intake Kit

I'm going to stick with my BHAF...

I can get these really cheap from Vulcan Performance roughly $40 bucks. So far mine has over 85K miles on it and the filter minder still hasn't moved. I never have to wash it, oil it, vacuum it, blow it off, etc...

It just works...

and why is that? Ive ran a K&N intake system since 2006 and 75k and ive had no problems in a stock or mildly modded rig.

my k&n runs fine too. actually when they get a little dirty the filter better than the dryflow filter in heavily dusty areas. When I pulled my hy off my truck I had very little dirt built up on it and I didn't own the thing for the first 110k on it.but you can't beat the price and effectiveness of the bhaf

My K&N let in WAY too much dirt. I could hold it up to a light and see HOLES in the thing. No thanks. Ill go with a good filter.

You defintely can do much better than a BHAF. There is the AFE Pro-Dry S and AEM Dry-Flow. Both are around $50 and are washable and non oilable. Why throw a BHAF away? Doesnt make sense to me at all.

If you want bigger yet, check out the AEM Workhorse:
