Default Timing Isn't Everything!

ok, for those of you that read and replied to my other thread ''Strange Noise Driving me Crazy!'', i have figured out the problem and got it fixed! come to find out the cam i had installed was ground with extra timing already in it, and i was told that sticking a key in it would also mess with timing.. so i went ahead and stuck one of the advance timing keys in so i wouldnt have to mess with doing it later... well come to find out, my motor had all the timing it wanted, ! the noise in my other thread was like a fuel knock, and i couldnt figure out what it was... so i went ahead and yanked out the cam and stuck the stock key back in, and fired it back up... and thankfully, no more fuel knock!! now it sounds normal and actually runs a little better!

Yeah man,I was really wondering what that could have been... at least now you don't have to rebuild the whole engine eh?

well it wasnt the cam itself, it was the key that i used that was a little overboard.. and i went with the biggest street cam i could without having to flycut pistons...
