Default Helix Camshafts

Helix 2: The Helix 2 is the best choice for just about all high performance applications. Single turbocharger and twin turbocharger engines will both benefit. Large reductions in maximum exhaust gas temperatures and smoke are immediately noticed. Increased throttle response and pulling power. Lift is higher and duration is extended on both the intake and exhaust lobes. This cam is ground from a new blank casting and is not a regrind. The H2 has the lobe ground for a mechanical fuel pump. Bolted-on drive gears raise the durability of the system and allow for added piece of mind with high powered engine combinations. Cam failuers and gear walk have been indicated in even stock Cummins engines using the P7100 pumps that used the press-on gear system. Bolt-on gears fix this potential trouble in high performance applications.

RPM range of the Helix 2 is from idle to 4000 RPM
So is the Helix 2 just for P pumped trucks? Whats the options for a 24V ?

Dunno about the 24v selection but I have 2 friends who put them in their 03 CR's along with sportsman valve springs. Really no difference noticed from the install but they can run up to 4000rpm now even though they haven't tried.

Actually, the Helix II is for any 24Valve truck. It just has a lobe for the 12V mechanical lift pump should you choose to run that setup. There are grinds for different applications, but it'll work for ya.

In fact, I am running both.

So, 24valve truck. VP44. 12 valve lift pump. Unregulated I see 45psi at idle. 37psi @WOT.

I do have a custom adjustable regulator. But waiting for the VP to fail from the high pressure. I was told it would kill any VP within days. Hopefully it happens soon as I have gone almost 2 years and 60K miles as it sits.

Helix 2 doesn't add alot of HP, but it widens the power band, spools the turbo 2-300 rpm sooner, cuts down on smoke and if you have a fuel box that will fuel to 4000 it will make power pretty close to that instead of falling off at 2700-3000.
