turbo question
So I have a hy35 sitting on my bench and my dad has a hx35 in his 98.5 Cummins that is just a farm truck. My question is that how much money does it take to convert it to a hx40 and how hard is it to make it a hx40. Also I have a 63-68-14 turbo on my truck already would a hx40 and a 63-68-14 be a good setup.

The cheapest way would be to buy one of these Generic HX35/40 turbo for 325HP and below ********* Not available for retail Customers********** and swap the parts over to your center section and then buy a rebuild for around $100 and you will have a turbo that's like new.
That way you have the 60mm wheel and 14cm housing for the price of just the housing and wheel.
Just don't use the center section that comes with it it's junk it had just as much play in-out and up-down that my junk stocker had.

You can also buy the 6 or 7 blade wheel can't remember which one exactly to make it a super 35/40 hybrid.

Are you asking if you could turn the 35 into a hybrid and put it over your 63 and make a twin set?
Wouldnt work...the hybrid would be a 60/60/12 over your 63/68/.76 they would be way too close in size.
You could run the hybrid over a s471 or run your 63 over a s475
Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.
