Did you by chance ever replace the control arm bushings with the poly replacements did you? I'm getting ready to do it, just wondering if they'll actually come out without me having to burn them out.... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Got a rude awakening on the Poly replacements for our Diesel Trucks. They don't fit. All the Poly Bushings that are advertised for our trucks are actually designed for the 2500 gassers that have the lighter weight suspension.

I did have to change the bolts in the control arms, forget the proper name for em right now. Thew were froze solid in there and would come out. Had to grind off the heads and beat em out with a driver and even at that I beat em so hard I mushroomed out the bolts and had to grind that off to. Wasn't no fun.

The Energy Suspension ones don't fit? If thats the case I'm gonna be PISSED!!! I dropped over $100 for bushings, and if they don't fit I'm gonna have to spend another $100 on MOOG replacements (I won't buy Napa crap).

I didn't try the bushings your referring to in particular but none of the Rear leaf spring parts, Front coil shock suppressors or front and rear sway bar mounts fit. I found parts listed for other applications to fit some of this but still wasn't able to replace most of it at all.

I have the right size Energy Suspension sway bar bushings for the front, the rear IDK about, haven't had to mess with it yet. I'm just replacing the control arm bushings right now, should work, I can't imagine Dodge used different control arms for the Cummins trucks.

How did these Bushing turn out. Did they fit.

I also wanted to add one more cause of wandering steering to the list here. I started noticing a few weeks ago that the steering was floatin around on me again and I finally figured out that the top nut on one of the shocks had worked loose. Few more threads and it would have been gone. Tightened that down and now it's all good again So lets add this to the list of possible causes.

Don't know... Never installed them. Still have them in the box if you want em I'll sell em to ya cheap. I was going to do it when things warmed up, because its such a PITA getting the old bushings out, but the truck died . So I never got a chance to install them.

IMHO, don't bother with the leafs unless the ones in there are shot. I put them in an old Jeep and all it did was make the ride worse. Body mounts might be the same way, never tried. I'd definitely put them in the control arms though, the stockers flex like a mother.

Had to add a few more items to the list of causes here. Trucks has been wanderin again and found the threads on the drag link were stripped. Only thing holdin my steering together was the pin holdin the castle nut on and keep in from slidin right off the bolt. Thank God for small favors here.
