Hey guys I got a Comp box with the hot unlock and was just wondering if this was normal? So I put it on 3x5 and it pulls hard right away but as soon as I put it on 5x5 it feels like bad turbo ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Default Drag Comp Question

Hey guys I got a Comp box with the hot unlock and was just wondering if this was normal? So I put it on 3x5 and it pulls hard right away but as soon as I put it on 5x5 it feels like bad turbo lag till about 2500rpm then it rips?? This didnt seem right to me because 3x5 is a lower hp setting and on 5x5 is where the hot unlock is programed right?

Sounds like some issues they had in some of there comp boxes. Id send it to Edge to let them fix it.

I dont have the hot unlock setting 6 on mine but mine does the same. I kept thinking the Edge was a waste but do you think if i purchased mine a while ago I can send it directly to Edge?

sounds to me like you need a bigger turbo ...........your dumpin alot of fuel in there btw i found best result was 5x4 with the drag comp

Hey ya thanks for the input guys, its brand new so I wasnt sure if there was something wrong with it or if thats how it ran so I called the guy I got it from and he said just put the turbo on and that would go away. Oh ya btw I got a super phat shaft 62 and an ATS manifold to put on these days off so I'm super pumped hahaha

that turbo is killer.. love it.. it eats head gaskets though.. studs are a must.. and even then make sure you let it idle for at least one coolant cycle 2 or 3 is better then let er eat..

i agree with luke ive seen it and edge will fix it

it could also be a problem of a superchip or hypertech in the computer and your over timing the pump so it wont run till then. My juice with attitude did this on hot unlock till I reflashed the computer then all is great
