Default cummins 12 valve fuel plate

my recent toy is a 1997 dodge cummins. it is a extended cab 2500. i put a leveling kit on it and 35 in hankooks, bumpers, headache rack, fuel tank, 5 in straight pipe exhaust, took out the silencer ring, ground the fuel plate to a 0, slid it and the afc housing forward, turned star wheel all the way up, exhaust brake, and pyro gauge. it also is a 5 speed

anyway my question is for anyone who has a simular setup are you able to pull any trailers without getting to high of exhaust temp and also what temp does your pickup tend to run at? i am asking this because i farm and tend to haul alot

i have had two other 97's and ran a #10 and #100 in those but had a lot more done to them and they tended to get really hot and i also had a 2002 that was aslo built and it to ran hot..

anyway i just really wanted more power out of this new one, it was just to slow. if you have any recomendation on what i should be runnning or doing to this pickup feel free to give me all the info you can

thanks!

How hot is it getting? If its too hot you have to slide the plate back or get a performance turbo.

he mentioned the fuel plate and afc forward, maybe full forward? he sounds like he might have with his starwheel all the way forward too.... why not push everything up together

Back the starwheel off a little, and slide the plate back a little bit, or you could just buy a new turbo

you can get a hx35/40 upgrade kit for $300.00 all day.it's worth it,mine went from 1600*max to 1200*max.and alot more power, and it only takes about an hour to do the job.good bang for the buck.
