Default Question about lope.

I was brousing the web the other day and found an article about either bigger valve springs, or gov. springs. I don't remember which, and can't seem to find it again, but the article suggested that if the springs are upgraded to radicaly without enough fuel increase that it would create a lope like a gasser with a cam. Any thoughts on this?

alot of that has to do with timing, governor springs wont really do anything for lope...

24 valves lope with a monster pump. I have heard some 12 valves do it I think its due to timing and gov spring settings.

you might get a little bit out of em with gov. springs but you would have to run atleast 5k RPM springs and ya have to be careful with those...

you can make it lope with the gov springs, they have to be mis-adjusted, ie one being a good bit tighter than the other...... and set the idle fairly low..... not good on the motor though

Thanks guys! I don't think I'm gonna try it now.. Don't wanna risk damage to the motor.

Let’s see here ill make a pros and cons of both

5k gsk pros lope and it will RUN! cons kaboom, runaways past 3200 with a stock engine....
offset weights pros lope cons hard on pump and motor it will also have performance affects i assume.

I know you can also get a lope if your idle is to low. Pros lope and not very loud cons truck dies when cold and if it’s low enough you oil pressure light will come on and then off then on then off accompanied with a chime....

Honestly guys as cool as it sounds it’s not worth it to me because I know a lot of people would walk up to me saying what’s wrong with it?

Bigger lines will cause it on a 24v. There's a video on youtube somewhere of a guy with one. Sound like a$$ to me, but hey, to each his own.
