Default Timing Opinion

Hey guys we got a 12v Cummins built and would like to hear what you guys think on what we should set the timing to. Here is what is done.

Fire ringed head and 12mm ARP studs
Biggest delivery valves for stock pump
4000 rpm gov. spring kit
Maxed out fuel plate
Mack rack plug
Big Stick cam from Colt cams
.093 injection lines.
100% over injectors set to 3900 psi cracking pressure.
ATS exhaust manifold
BW S400 2.6 turbo
CFM intake elbow
AirDogII-165 lift pump

It has a ZF6 with 900hp dual disk clutch from SouthBend.

The truck will sled pull a couple times a week and also be a daily driver. What do you guys think? I set it to 18 degrees, but I'm starting to lean towards 20. Would like to get the most power we can. Also needs to be able to start easily, especially when it's cold out. Thanks.

Go right in the middle at 19. With those mods you could set it at 30 and buy a case of either to start it everyday

Keep an eye on the CFM plus intake, Those have been known to blow at higher boost numbers.

Well when the elbow blows we'll put a Banks on. The pistons are stock. New bearings in the bottom end. The injectors are the stock injectors. Extrude honed to 100% over and shimmed to 3900psi. We used the copper washers.

I would go 24-26 at the pump

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

and use the thin washers for your injectors

My opinion is the CFM intake "blows" at all boost numbers. No noticeable gain after installing. I've had 48psi on mine with no trouble

At that timing how hard would it be to start? It's still a DD and needs to start easily. Also is there going to be an issue with running the thick washers? and if there is where can we get the thin washers fast? Thanks.

With these mods what do you guys think the hp would be around?
