Is this true? If I want a little more RPM headroom, why not just tighten down the stock springs instead of messing around with a kit? Am I missing something? Advice/experience gratefully appreciated. Thanks...Steve. |

tightening the stock springs will deffinately help; but wont perform exactly like the 3k GSK. i'm a firm believer of doing it right so go the 3k gsk route. if anything tightening the factory springs will make the truck behave like a "new" truck and restore the characteristics of a new set of stock springs. same thing occurs with high mileage injector springs. they sag and injection pressures drop

Get a spring kit. It's only a bandaid to tighten them and it can cause other issues. Ask a vendor for a price quote and do it right. I waited forever to put mine in and now that I have the 4K kit in I have no idea why I waited. I have a little tweaking to do with them yet but that's just me being nit picky.
