ok guys got a cummins with edge att hot unlock to start it off about two weeks ago i was going down the road went to go from level 0 to level six when i did the truck cut off and took forever to start it showed this code p0628 fuel lift pump circuit low voltage. now i got a airdog 150 so i thing its reading my old pump maybe
well next last night me and a friend was coming back from looking at a truck we stoped to eat truck was doin fine we had been about 360 miles well we went ahead and got some diesel truck was fine when i truned it off as soon as i start it back it sounded bad like it had a tick from the motor and it was missing and i called around everyone said bad fuel i put some stuff in it but still didnt fix it i checked the oil water and everything checked out good no lights was come up on the dash so i said maybe we can get hope we was about two hours away well i truned the edge off the truck had the same power as before just a missing sound about 50 miles down the road i heard something so i truned the truck off and pulled over after that mine friend got out to look when i started the truck it white smoke like crazy and smell like raw fuel i truned it off called a friend to come get me when he got there we was going to try to start the truck so i could pull it on the trailer but it wouldnt start it would just trun over and over so today i look at its showing to codes a p0633 skim key not progammed in pcm and a 0628 fuel lift pump circuit low voltage so i called dodge, diesel shops, and edge
i want to thing its a injector but it show a code for it dodge said i need to have my pcm flashed that it could fix it but not sure truck has 163 miles any help would be great thanks

 

the skim key code could be from the smarty, the lift pump code did you unplug the factory pump inside the tank?

kinda sounds like to me that you blew the tip off of an injector which a big dose of water in the fuel could do, this would explain the miss and the raw fuel smell as well as possibly the no start from it not making enough rail pressure because of the bad injector

 

i dont have the smarty anymore i had a edge with att.
but the truck was running fine untill i truned it off and after i put diesel in it. i started it up and right off hand it sounded like sh**. Like i said i went about 50 miles down the road truck ran great. I am worried its the injector. I wish the store would pay for it since i was buyin there diesel

sounds like ya got it narrowed down then and since it has came and went maybe its the solenoid on the injector sticking wide open then?

 

ya i guess i am going to have them tested. becuse the truck wont start now.
