so i got a engine for my 05 after my last one locked up on me. havent driven it much took it for a drive last nite roughly 20 miles 1 way someone turned off in front of me and i had to downshift went to 5th gear and got on it. around 2600-2800 rpms it back fired through the turbo it sounded like and the truck shut off for a second them came back and ran great. my trip home i tried to get it to do it again in 6th gear but it wouldnt downshifted to 5th and the same thing happened it shut truck off but this time it wouldnt even catch itself in gear.

tonite went for a drive, kept the shift points low around 2000 rpms maybe a little over, ran great again till i went up a little hill it just died off the CEL came on and it acted like it was missing. then cleared itself up. got 5 codes out of the truck. P0524, 0217, 0514, 2509, 2146.

the oil pressure was a touch below 40psi, coolant temp was under 200 and volt meter was at 14 dead-on.

now my question is has anyone had this problem with theyre truck dying off then coming back to life? could my computer be goin bad? ive heard when you get a lot of codes like that all weird ones that the computer is on its way out. any help would be great fellas
