Default 2001 5.9L or 2004 5.9L?

im looking at too trucks right a 2001 dodge ram 2500 with 5.9L 24Valve with 147K miles for $11,900 and 2004 dodge 2500 with 5.9L 24 valve high output with 204K miles and rebuilt transmission with only 12K miles on it for $15,900. i would prefer the 2004 just because its a newer truck with new tranny but the 2001 is nice too. both trucks are automatics witch is what i want and both free of rust. so witch one would you take?

Default which truck

I've had both and good luck too but with the 2001 you will always have the vp44 and is the 2001 a ''53'' block? If it has the ''53'' I would avoid it. Also the 2001 should have an after market lift pump not oem.
