I did alot of looking around on this awhile back and from peoples experience i decided on toyo open country m/t. Every body said they had super good wear rates for a mud tire almost as good as most highway tires. As for were to buy them cheap let me know

If that's the case, I'd recommend these:

Dura Grappler

I've got 30k miles on a set of 285-75/17s on my 1st Gen and they do not appear to be near half gone yet. Very quiet and highest load rating in it's class, if you tow. That size equals about a 34" tall tire so will give a nice jump in overall gearing above stock for a bit better highway fuel mileage.

I'm gonna be needing some new skins before the snow starts falling and I've been looking real hard at these: CooperTiresConsumer - Discoverer A/T3™ I've always had good luck with Coopers. These have a 55,000 mile tread wear rating and have been getting very good reviews on line.

I need new tires soon. Right now i have Goodyear Wrangler silent armors and they are great, but i'm going to try something different. I've been looking at Nitto Terra Grapplers and I think that what i'm going to go with

The best mud tire on the market currently is hankook dynapro mt's. They will be the next tire on my truck for sure. They are also studdable for winter conditions.

If you are looking for a good all around tire, the Nitto Teragrabber is the best. I have 295/75/17 on mine and they are fine. Actually, the next time I have to buy some new feet for the ram, I am going up to 305s. The 305s will work if you have raised up the front with a leveling kit. I have had the Toyo on there before but, they didn't last long. I have about 25000 miles on them now and still have half thread on them. These are great aggressive looking A/T tires that you will be pleased with and much cheaper than the Toyo.

I have Terra Grapplers on the '07, it's my snow truck. With 300 lbs of sand in the back of the bed, it goes like a tank in the white stuff.

295/75/17 make your trick set up higher, i was gonna put bigger tires on and maybe a leveling kit,
