Default 04 5.9 HP losing power under a load

I`m closing in 0n 250,000 miles. Stock except the transfer pump and filter. These were changed at around 10,000 to inline. My problem is that under hard acceleration or pulling a load up hill it acts starved for fuel. It will stall and blow smoke. I let off the peddle and it idles back fine and runs fine as long as I don`t put my foot in it again. I`ve changed the filter, doesn't help. My first inline pump lasted about 100,000 miles this last one is a carter and has about 60,000 on it. I`m under the impression it`s time for a new inline again. ??? I have no fuel pressure gauge and I`m in the boonies. Just looking for ideas. Thanks!

my 04 did the same thing. ease in throttle and things were fine, stand on it power went south. lift pump showed 60 psi until your in the throttle it went to 20psi. my fuel pump is in the tank, found one @ orilleys for $220. PUT ER IN AND IT FIX MY PROBLEMS. THEY HAD A RELOCATION KIT FOR THE FRAME, BUT IF I HEARD RIGHT THEY SAY THEY WERE RELOCATED TO THE TANKS ON THIS MODEL OR MANUFACTORING DATE. CANT REMEMBER. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT. MY TRUCK HAD 218000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT HAPPENED
