I just bought a 2005 with 76000 miles on it and I was wondering what tranny upgrades would suffice? I hear alot about upgrades, but are you guys talking about rebuilding the entire tranny or is there a valve body upgrade that you reccommend? 75% of my driving is empty, but when I do haul trailers and tractors, I want it to be able to hold up. What are your thoughts?

Get a VB and TQ and you should be ok! Talk to Dave at Goerend and do it right the first time!

 

Whats a VB?

 

VB= Valve body TQ= torque converter

It will but its hard on the stock TC. They don't take the extra pressure well and heavy towing will exagerate the impact.
