Default 48re clutch slipping?

Hey, so the other day i started my truck and went to start driving and when i put it in drive it barely moved even at higher rpms, so if you floor it all the sudden it will grab and start going, then when ever you start accelerating it sounds like the trans slips and makes the whole truck shake, im thinking it is the drive clutch because reverse is fine and the overdrive is fine, i adjusted the bands to stock and changed the fluid while i had the pan off, the magnet in the pan has no metal but has a grease like substance which im thinking is the clutch material. what should my next step be? thanks

Was the fluid full? Sounds like a low fluid condition.

If its not in the rest of the pan, just on the magnet its metal. You can look through my threads, I think I did the troubleshooting file for the 48re a while back

well ended up driving 11 miles today and the clutch went out on the side of the mountain. I wasnt really surprised, had it towed, supposedly it was covered under the chrysler roadside assistance, its being rebuilt right now and with better clutches, ha, so it lasted about 1000 miles before it completely stopped moving, not bad i guess. thanks for the help.
