Default Advice Needed

I have 2004 5.9 305/555 auto 4 wheel drive 93000 miles.
Truck has been well taken of and runs fine. I have added a HE351,Smarty Jr,4'' back exhaust. I tow about 12-14000lbs 5th wheel.
I am getting ready to do a trip to Fl. and a trip to the west coast and back. I was looking at upgrading the tranny with a valve body and tripple loc converter.Do you think the tranny has too many miles or should I do a replacement Goerend.
The Goerend sounds great but $5000+w/installation is a lot of money to part with. Where do you find is the cut off mileage for a upgrade or a swap.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If your going to Florida you can allways stop at Ft Walton beach and get the whole thing done at ATS, what part of the west coast are you going to ? -

Just far enough to put our feet in the water and say we did and head back.It looks like San Diego area but our plans are not complete yet. That FL. shop doesn't sound like a bad Idea. -

I am personally not a fan of ATS but I won't tell you what and what not to get. Are you just rebuilding your transmission or are you buying a whole new one? If I was you I would have mine rebuilt with internals and mount it back up. A friend of mine bought a whole new transmission with triple disc TC and billet insides but he payed $7000 because he bought the whole tranny. Im pretty sure I have read that some ford and chevy guys are getting these dodge trannys, rebuilding them, and putting them in their trucks. Not sure why though, I will have to read some more. -
