Default Smoke at idle got worse

My pickup has recently been black smoking at an Idle
Not a huge problem I wanted new injectors anyways well I quit driving it ordered some junk my friend went to unload his car. The battery of course was dead started my pickup to jump start him and In about 3 minutes it went from an almost lopey black smoke idle to a steady stream of white smoke. It's not oil the smell of raw fuel was enough to burn my nose though. Did my stock lift pump give up or could this be injector related? I also had a lot of diesel kleen to help with the injector while I drove home could that be the white smoke?

No You have a bad injector start shopping! Don't drive it you'll wash a cylinder and then have to rebuild the engine!

Do not drive it. Injectors are a lot less than an engine AND injectors.

Sounds like an injector or injectors but it wouldn't hurt to check your batteries and charging system too since they are electrically controlled. Kinda weird it changed while you where jump starting the other guy.

It still smoked a bit at idle and I had ordered new injectors before this happened,I knew I would have injector failure soon. I never intended on bringing it out because it smoked so much but I figured you know 2 minutes won't kill it. It only got to white spoke for about 30 seconds before it was parked in the barn again. That wasn't enough time to do serious damage was it?

I got 60 horse dragonfly injectors, an airdog 150 fuel system, the 6.7 feed tubes and a wicked wheel 2,other than the compressor wheel I couldn't be happier with what I have now. I bought the ww2 because they advertise a quicker spool which I am here to say is a lie. I put the stock wheel back on and I'm happier with the lower rpm spool like literally I made no boost until 2100rpm with the ww2 it was a joke, thats not the power band a cummins should run in for a daily driver. Sorry for the rant I just want to say it was a disappointment to spend money, I have a turbo off a 903 cummins that would do the same thing, take forever to spool and then end up boosting more than I want at the top end. But I'm now getting over 30mpg In my pickup after the entire fuel system makeover and couldn't be happier

Good to hear!! glad you got it fixed thanks for the update and the ww2 review. That's some outstanding mileage, I am lucky to get 20 most of the time.
