Default suncoast allison for ctd

anyone thinking about one of these trans, suncoast has a conversion to put a allison behind a cummins. I think it would be a great combo but it comes with a price.

I met a guy that has done this, he says it is a very sweet ride, I have never ridden in it.

Have they put any info on the site yet? I was told by suncoast a month or so ago that it would be between $8000-$10000.

i remember reading somewhere that the allison was only good for somethin like another 90 horse over stock on the duramaxes. with what it costs to put an allison behind the cummins you could probably do a fully built dodge tranny and be better off, or maybe i am totally wrong?

That is a fully built Allison though included in that price.

You might want to check with a good Allison tech and see what they think of that baby Ally behind a tuned up 5.9.........

if you want it for the extra gear (or 2 depending on application) then it's probably worth the money. but if ur doing it for durability reasons u can get ur trans built to handle just as much and probably more for less money.

Depending on the numbers and what you do with the truck I think the Allison is a better choice. Bigger shafts and stronger then ours. Now they are doing all billet for them. I want to wait and see how the new dodge six speed auto does.
