My 5.9 Dodge Cummins won't start warm
My 2002 Dodge 24 valve 5.9 Cummins will no longer start went engine is at normal operating temperature. This problem started the other day when I was teaching my granddaughter to drive. When she stopped the truck, 6 speed manual, she braked but forgot the clutch, engine died which would be normal. However, I couldn't get the engine to restart until the temperature, which was around 180F when it stopped, cooled for about 2 hours. I thought it might be a one time thing, but now I cannot turn off my engine during short hops or I'll have to wait until the engine cools to below 140F. Does anyone have any idea? Is there some security sensor or some other sensor that could have been damaged with the engine was stopped so abruptly? Thank you. Sirbrek
