I have an 04 5.9 just had some tranny work done. (I overtightened the side band adjuster and put in a new strut)this was corrected by a dodge ase mech. with a new gov. pressure and sensor added. My? is the truck has 210,000 miles runs great has original AC ,service has been done at reg. intervals, my mech. says I will probably need a new tranny in 50,000 or so, @ 3,500.00 should I put the $ in a 6.7 or fix this one when it happens? I get 21-22 on the road ????

Getting a new truck is always gonna cost more any way you slice it. If you like your truck keep it. Hopefully a new trans will last you another 200k+ miles.

If you mean it goes from 2nd to 1st with a loud clunk, its probably because your TV cable needs adjustment.
