Default 04 5.9 no fuel peddle after turning off cruise

Hey guys, newbie here.. My 04 2500 with 5.9 is acting up. I have programmer and cold air intake with 5" exhaust. For a little while now it goes to idle, mostly when off fuel and trying to pull out( no peddle) then all of a sudden picks up n runs strong! Also odometer work intermittently, I was using cruise yesterday and when I touch brake to turn off cruise, truck went to idle (no fuel peddle) at 70 on interstate! I did a code check and reviled po500 .. Any ideas on what's goin on? What's the fix? Thanks

That is a speed sensor code! It WILL mess with everything you mentioned! Check the wires and connection, make sure there is no water in the connection and no corrosion!

Where would I find the speed sensor ? I also had a performance transmission installed from ATS at 75k miles. Old one worked fine, any idea best place to sell it?

It's on top of the rear diff housing. Sell it on Craigslist or ebay.

Could be a wire issue also check the ecm connector and clean your battery connections just because! These issues are hard to track down almost worth taking it to the dealer let them scan it!
