Default 2004 5.9l help

"2004" 5.9L. has been ran out of fuel, and for some ungodly reason, jump started with another battery turned upside down to the terminals on the other battery. This was my father in laws truck before i was in the picture and now I got it. Now the problem is it wont start, I have put close to ten gallons of fuel in it, two new batteries, turns over great but no start. Do I need to prime the injector pump on this yr truck?? and another thing I noticed, when I turn the key on none of the dash gauges move, ie; fuel, volt, Etc. Is there a relay or fuses for these to work. Please any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Check all your fuses in your Power Distribution center under the hood. It is possible he fried something when he did his jump starting. When you turn the key you should see a bulb check and your gauges should come online. There is no need to prime any pumps on this model of truck. My guess is your computer is not coming online for what ever reason be it a blown fuse or damaged ignition switch or bad computer. Once we get that fixed. Everything else should fall into line.

Can you check codes and see if you have any modules not communicating? If youre certain its ecm, Id look on ebay. If you want a new one Id try Cross Point Cummins.
