I am looking to buy a another truck, I own a 2004 cummins that I like and my wife need a newer truck the other one get hit last night at red light and it's a total lost. I found a 2006 RAM 2500 full loaded with a cummins, the truck is in top condition, it be use most of the time for highway driving, the only think it have 400 000 miles on it. The owner say that the truck need nothing it ride like new, the price is 14000$, I found that a good deal. I just want some opinion from other peoples about the high mileage on it... did I need to be scare about it.. it's a cummins after all. I wonder if I can get another 100 000 miles out of that truck before I need to rebuilt the engine, I now it's hard to tell when a engine will break but whats your feeling and experience about it. I will do a good maintenance and some minor modification if I get it, upgrade priming pump, intake, little stuff like that to get the better of it but nothing more. Thanks in advance......Steph

 

First find out what has been replaced already! AND how many times! If he say nothing walk away! It's about to self distruct! Offer 10 grand that's a good offer for that year and milage. It's awesome to see a truck get that high but remember this is a one man truck! He drove it a certian way everyday and when a new driver jumps in things will start to break just because of different driving styles! Good luck with your decision! BUT do your homework and keep looking around!
