I have a 2004 dodge 3500 with a 6 speed...My speedometer is jumping, replaced the one in the rear end. Did not fix it.....Is there another sensor somewhere and where do I find it? The auto parts stores are not showing any other ones.. Thanks... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

The speed sensor is located in the overdrive gear case. The sensor is positioned over the park gear and monitors transmission output shaft rotating speed

It's most likely the gauge cluster. It is a common problem

biged681985's Sig:99 dodge = broken, and waiting to be under the knife
98 dodge = let out in the pasture to die
06 ford = waiting to be fixed, or have a 12v transplant
05 vw Passat tdi. running strong
00 dodge = 330k ready to see what it has in her
black sheep = details coming soon
