Default .tranny fluid change

my truck has 188,000 miles on her, ive started noticinc im geting a little hesatation every once in a while when putting the trans in drive after sitting for a while but she runs strong and pulls fine, and sometimes when im crusing and step on it shel slip then go into gear, i know im prolly dues for a rebuild soon but i need to run this rranny for a lil while longer, im thinking a fluid and filter change would do it some good but over the years ive always heard conflicting arguments that its bad to change thr fluid cuz itll make it worse, any one have any real facts, if any one here has changed the fluid in there trans with out problems let me kno and whats the best fluid to use

No change it and adjust the bands and I bet most of your problems will go away.. Reason for the failure of the auto trannies are because of lack of maintaince. at least for the 2nd gens.

See attached. Personally when I had a dodge I ran whatever ATF+4 was cheapest at the time.
