Default 01 dodge 12v swap havin problems

Hi everyone, i have a 2001 cummins that i swapped a 12 into. my problem is that the tranny wont shift at all on its own. i need to hook up the cam sensor and thatll fix it. ive heard that people have swapped out cam gears to get the tone ring for the sensor. i was wondering if anyone has done this swap before and what they have done to make their truck work. any suggestions will relly be appreciated, thanks.

if the trans is from a 2001, its electronically controlled so you would need the pcm for it to operate correctly.

i have the 24v harness hooked up for all the sensors but not the cam sensor cause the 12v doesnt have the tone ring. i was wanting a second opinion to see if someone would think that that would work by switchin the gears to be able to have the tone ring

swap the cam gears and get the sensor relocation kit and you should be good to go. are you still using the 24v apps or did you wire in the 12v apps?

btw be a great time to add a 181/210 cam

scheid sells the relocation kit. you just have to grind on the timing case a little to get it to work no big deal. i'm running scheids 181/210 there really isnt much difference in them and the others but i can hook you up with what ever you want including the relocation kit.

first put those back on the pump. without them you have no way to tune the pump. if your still on the stock injectors i would just bump the timing to 16* and slide the plate back just a little bit to keep it cool or turn your turbo into a hx35/40 hybrid. if you have 100hp injectors then you could run a S362/65/14
