Default 24Valve died and will not restart, help!

This morning I was headed home and the engine died. No hesitation, stumble, cough, wheeze or premonition of anything wrong at all. Just plain died. Bled the fuel and attempted to restart it for 4 hours straight to no avail. It spins over just fine, everything seems to be working, electrical & mechanically as it should except that it's not firing. Not even the tinest burp. Could this be either the Cam sensor or the VP pump and what would be the best way to go about further diagnosing of either of these components?????

have you cracked the injector lines to see if you are getting fuel out of them when cranking?

have you checked it for any codes? this can tell the ultimate story on what might be wrong.

i dont know how much different the 01 is from the 05, but i ran into something similar, it happened to me on the way to work ended up being a wire rubbed through on the MAP sensor, worth a quick look over anyway

do you have pusher pump or fuel pressure gauge going along with that quad? if you bleed fuel to the vp44 and are getting no fuel to injectors problem is the pump. quick code check with the key trick will tell you what's up.

- There is plenty of fuel coming out of all six lines after I crack them and crank the engine over. I however have not checked for codes yet but will do so in a couple hours.

- I have a FASS pump pushing fuel to the injection pump and it's still giving it's usual 12-14 psi once the key is turned on.

Cam/Crank position sensor failure is a possibility. When cranking, does the tach come up at all? All fuses and relays are good?

Did the quick key code check. Had 5 codes logged to the ECU and basically they all point to a bad injection pump. I got 237,000+ miles out of a stock vp44 so I really can't complain, especially with having mods done to the truck since pretty much the day I drove it off the dealer lot.
