Default Hey Guys!

Got tired of calling the diesel shop in town for advice, I feel like I bug them alot! Haha but I just registered here and wanted to introduce my self. I have a 99 24v cummins dually and I just blew out my lift pump and vp44 at the same time! (believe or not) I was wondering if anybody could give me some tips with my trucks that the shops may not know.

And I know these transmissions dont get along with torque very well so I was wondering if I could cruise around on level 3 on the Juice W/A. Just for gas mileage purposes because its my DD.

Thanks!
-Nick

well it all depends on how you drive. Of course a transmission is going to go out faster if your always hot rodding it. So I'd say if you can keep the lead out of your foot you should be alright.

do you have your pump wire tapped????? i tapped mine knowing that my tranny is towards its end..... but i ran around on level 1 for a while running 1x3 on the low boost setting, and have just recently bumped it up to level 3 to see if i can get any better mileage running 3x5 on the low boost setting. i could get the juice to start backing the power off on level 1 really getting on it and level 3 i just dont let it eat too often..

I have done WOT runs from a dig (like 4) and my trans did not slip, but it felt like it hesitated a bit. I got my pumps from thoroughbred and they said if I tapped the wire myself it will void the warrenty but if I got the stealth cover it wont. So yep just waiting to get my truck back now should be done this week hopefully!

I just went ahead and used the tap that edge sends with it im rolling with 174,000 on the original vp44 so i had no warranty to worry about if it goes out ill probably install a stealth plate... and ya my tranny will hesitate some too but the ole juice light comes on when the tranny starts slipping and the juice is backing off the power!!!!! built tranny in the near future
