Default ideas for a new turbo

ok need some opinions ....in the market for a new or used turbo ...trying to find out what size type to get ...i think im close to my safe limit of my stock turbo....i cut and plugged the waste gate on it when i first got the truck trying to make more boost ....since then i have added a programmer ..Quadzilla adrennaline...a bhaf and five inch exhaust i was looking at a bigger set of nozzles around 150 -200 but i dont want to damage any internals and if i have done my math correctly i believe i have reached my safe limit of my stocker ...which should b a hx35....so i need thoughts on what to get next ...and wastegate or no waste gate...thanks in advance

62 or 64 and for gods sake unplug your wastegate. you are doing no good by anything on your engine by doing that. put a fooler in the line. def wastegated turbo unless you are planning to install a seperate manifold gate.

think its the inducer side on the intake? 62/65/12 or 64/65/14 it will be s300 based. im sure there is a boost fooler for your truck. i cant go real in depth with your particular truck but running gate closed all the time is BAD! i also didnt see anything in you SIG that indicated you had an upgraded fuel system?? before you do much of anything else that needs to be adressed or you will kill the vp44.

I run a 62/65/13 High tech turbo in my rig. I really like it, but it is laggier than the stock hx35. this turbo likes higher RPM to get it to spool. I find that it is happy around the 1800-2100 rpm range before you smash the throttle. any lower than that and it will smoke pretty good and EGT's climb. I would suggest if you do any kind of pulling at all look at a 62/65/12 this will spool a tick faster than the 13cm housing, and if you get one with a 14cm housing this will have a tick more pull on top but you will loose some lower rpm spooling. I have tried all 3 housings on my setup and found the 13 is the best of both worlds and its stainless steel compared to cast iron on the 12 and 14. the SS holds heat in a little better and allows the turbo to spool faster. You will also need an HX40 downpipe and some kind of adapter to fit your 5" exhaust too.
another thing- you might want to invest in some ARP head studs, these turbos, with the right fueling, can reach well over 40 psi, and 40psi is about the extreme limit to the stock head studs. I don't have head studs and set my waste gate to about 37-38lbs.

I loaded the beta tune for 3000. Fuels VERY hard. Really puts you back in the seat....also makes you look like a damn fool if you mash the pedal from a standstill...it will black out an intersection.
