My truck wont turn over. Help please!
Hey guys/gals. I have a 2000 24 valve single cab 3500 auto 4x4. I went to start it the other day after it had been sitting for about 30 minutes and the old girl wouldn't turn over. It was as if the starter had no power to it but the ignition and fuel pump were working. So i crawled underneath it to get a gander and the big power wire to the starter was corroded at the lug and dangling. I reattached it with a new lug and nothing. I replaced the starter and still nothing. brand new batteries at full charge and the terminals have good connections and no blown fuses. the power wire also has power. Im not a very good mechanic nor do i know much about wiring but im wondering about the small wire coming from the solenoid. where does it go and what does it do?
thanks alot
