Default What vp pump?

Ok so im lookin to buy a 24v with a few mods on it. (Air dog, 150 injectors, Blue chip Wizard Fuel managment system) Only problem the vp pump is shot i was wondering if i should go back with a stock pump or what? Lookin to buy a pump that last for bottom dollar?

The most reliable is the SO VP44 injection pump.

2000 Dodge RAM Truck Cummins 24V 3/4 ton 2500 Diesel 162K

This it, by any chance? Noticed your from OK and this is up there in your direction.

Personally I'd pass on this one, if it is the one you're looking at. There's plenty others out there that run and are still priced good. But if you're set on it, an SO pump will be great for it. Just be careful, there may be other problems besides the pump being shot.

^x2 if it doesnt run you could get screwed. there could be alot of hidden problems if the truck wont run. but if you do get it i heard the blue chip pumps are pretty good and have a good warrenty

Maybe try and make a deal with him. Get him to buy the pump and install it, or you install it. If the truck ends up running well and you want to buy it, add the price of the pump into the purchace price of the truck.
