ok guys im new to this forum so hows it going i have a 2001 qcb sb cummins 4x4 i got it paid of and am starting my mods so far i have a 4inch turbo back into a 6inch tip i have 168,000 miles on the truck. i just ordered the edge juice w/attitude and the air dog 150 and my question is ....... will my stock tranny hold the edge juice w/attitude just driving around on levels 1-3 until i get a built tranny?????? i have had the truck for 5years so im not new to this ive juat been waiting to have it paid off to start the mods any info would be great

it will hold up for a while but if it's original it's not going to last too long most get rebuilt even stock hp levels in that mileage range.

thanks i say its stock as far as i know its stock the truck had 97,000 on it when i bought it so whatever the other owner did i am not aware of.. i plan on getting a built tranny but its not quite in the budget right at the moment thought about a valvebody and a converter but we will see how the cash flows

thats a bandaid fix and it could come back to bite you if the trans comes apart hard and you already have to pull the trans out to change the converter so just save up till you have the money to do the whole thing. get the valve body and converter but don't put it in till you can rebuild it. I don't know if you plan on changing out the converter yourself but if you take it to the shop it cost the same as if they pull it out for a rebuild.

ya thats true ive thought about a 6 speed conversion but was told that have a built auto would run about the same amount. what buitl auto would you guys recomend????? its a daily driver that i would like to pull in the work stock class occasionally
