Default injector lines leaking

I put a new head on, and thought I set the injectors and tubes back in properly but a couple of them are leaking under pressure. I thought it was the seat of the line to the tube at first but noticed the fuel only coming out the thread between the head and the ferral.
I just tried loosening the injectors and re seating the tubes but no good. #5 is the worst but #1 #3 #4 are weeping.
Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreceated.

Do you suspect its leaking past the injector o rings and not where the tube seats into the injector?? Or Could it have deformed "*****"on the end of the lines and not seating on the tubes properly. I have checked these for cleanes but just a thought....
I only have a 1/2 torque wrench so with the adaptors down to 1/4 drive should I allow a few pound in the torque settings????? very hard to find a 5/16 size socket in 1/2 drive..

over torque on the injectors causing the tubes to leak at the body could very possibly be the problem if you using a 1/2" wrench since they only torque to 89 in lb i would get new copper washers and retorque them with the proper wrench

so your connector tubes have new o-rings on them? Did you apply a little grease to each o-ring so it would swell up? Are all of them leaking or just a couple? I would say it's possible to have a burr on the ones leaking if it's only a couple and you can fix this by removing the leaking lines and lightly sanding them to smooth them out and then reattach them and see if that works.

I am unsure how your able to over torque a 24v as the injector hold down goes flat against the head only real issue would be snapping the hold down bolt.

Thanks for the surgestions guys. I loosened all the injector bolts off and retorqued them with a 1/4 wrench then swaped tubes, I put #5 into #3 and that seems to have stopped for now, Ill check it once I give it a road test, now the return 'T' is leaking so Ill look at that tomorrow.

01quadcab Yea I did remember about the grease trick. I found that I had better luck slowing the leak when I only "nipped" the swivel nut up than when I swung off of it...

also, remember, the o rings only seal in the oil... they have nothing to do with fuel. I had a couple of tubes leak the first time I had mine apart, cost me 2 inj. tubes @ $50 ea. looking back, I probably had a bit of crud in the seat, and caused it to erode.

Well Im lost.... Fixed the return "T" leak then cleaned the seat on #5 tube again and put it back together and went on with the auto tuning Now after a week of driving, it doesnt leak any more..Im guessing the heat of the engine helped reseat the line to the tube.
So alls good and enjoying driving a ford with a cummins. Nearly got the auto sorted the guys at dieselconversions have been great. Hopefully be racing again soon...Cant wait..
