Default Truck has no power till it warms up

its a 2002 dodge 3500 everything is stock except the ejwa on it. but truck has no power till it warms up normally about a 140 degrees then it will run fine until it hit a dead spot it seems after it warms up then it does it again sometimes it comes back on its own and some times i have to down shift and run the rpms up to make it come back. i think it the vp44 but the weird thing is if i have a load on the truck it wont do it at all after it warms up?

Do you have the cold engine protection on? That makes it run stock in till you hit 140

If it's like a complete dead petal in till you start to warm up it could be the vp44 but it's weird that you regain power. And when my vp died I never threw any codes it was the mechanical aspect of my pump that stopped working. Then again it just died while driving no warning. But when my buddies vp went it was a dead petal and then a code. So hope I was able to a little.

well it will rev up while cold but it shakes and feels like its missing but after reving from1-3 times it smooths out but no power to the floor i might hit 2000 rpm. when it loses power it wont even pull itself without feathering the clutch it will die and when your going down the after it warms up and it does it. while it in gear and on the floor its at idle rpms but i cans push the clutch and it will run up to 2000 rpms. yes you've been helpful. it keeps thowing me through loops trying to figure it out

Ok well i would say it's your vp or it could be your lift pump is going bad causing it to not send enough fuel to the vp which could now be bad.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? If not, I strongly suggest getting one, or at least a low pressure light. a $200 investment (for the gauge, less for a light) can save you a $1000+ injection pump.
